Punk rock legend, former frontman for the band Black Flag, Henry Rollins guest starred on the Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert. Together, they performed their own creative rendition of “Carol Of The Bells”. Rollins primarily joined the show in order to promote his new film, He Never Died.
The performance showcases Colbert and Rollins wearing their respective “C” and “R” sweaters. Colbert softly dives into the introduction while Rollins joins in pumping his own idea of Christmas cheer into the lyrics.
Henry Rollins explained to Colbert he doesn’t celebrate Christmas. He said during the interview, “I’m not anti-Christmas. I’m not at war with Christmas. I am a microwave solo act in my utilitarian man-box in Los Angeles for Christmas. Food from the store goes into the microwave, I eat it, I listen to records and curse the darkness.”
