Casualties of Cool is the self titled debut album of country rock group Casualties of Cool, consisting of Canadian musicians Devin Townsend and Ché Aimee Dorval. The album was released on May 14, 2014 and now they have released a music video for the record track, “Daddy”.
The album plus a two-sided bonus cd and a live DVD concert of the band’s full performance at London’s Union Chapel will be released worldwide on January 15th, 2016.
Townsend comments on the record saying, “Casualties is very refreshing for me. No click tracks, no backing tracks, no talking and a hefty dose of live improvisation make this a situation that I believe with some exposure could hold an absolute ton of potential. The idea is to take a typical folky aesthetic and wrap it in a moody, kind of haunted David Lynch type aura. It’s great fun and Che is brilliant.”
