PJ Harvey Will Be Releasing A New Album In 2016

PJ Harvey returns next year with new album depicting her unique journey that took her to Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Washington D.C. Harvey recorded the album over a month open to the public at the “Recording in Progress” residency at London arts and cultural center Somerset House.

Among the accolades she has received are the 2001 and 2011 Mercury Prize for two of her albums, Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea (2000) and Let England Shake (2011). Respectively, she is the only artist to have been awarded the prize twice. In addition, she has eight Brit Award nominations, six Grammy Award nominations and two further Mercury Prize nominations.

The new album will be Harvey’s first record since her 2011 album Let England Shake. Fans have official confirmation, straight from Harvey’s Twitter, that the new LP is coming in spring. Based on the 30 seconds of music she’s shared in her tweet, this is a reason to get very, very excited.
