The annual, multi-day music, art and technology festival Moogfest will be presenting an improvisational performance curated by Nosaj Thing at the Ace Hotel DTLA on December 20! The performance will feature Shlohmo, Emily Kokal (Warpaint), DJ Dodger Stadium, Teebs & D Tiberio. For those of you who attend, a special after party will be held on the Ace Hotel Rooftop. For those who cannot attend, the performance will be live streamed on dublab.com at 9 PM PST.
Moogfest launched Dial-Tones as a new international event series that will preview the Moogfest 2016 experience in select cities around the world. The series kicked off in Durham, NC, and lands in Los Angeles on Sunday, December 20th. The night will be perfect for those who enjoy all things synthesizers. In the performance and after party, an artist will command 12 synthesizers built in the workshop to perform a unique performance that cannot be recreated or repeated again. The improvisational experience will be one to remember!
The Dial-Tones series celebrates the form and frequencies surrounding ambient, drone, and microtonal compositions, as well as the technology behind the art of synthesis. Each event highlights an internationally known artist that calls the host city home, as well as a local community youth organization. For December 20, Moogfest partnered with LA based online radio station dublab. This is a night that should not be missed!
