Honestly, I let out a high-pitched squeal when I heard my favorite artists Lemaitre are coming back to San Francisco. Embarrassing, I know, but once you experience the booming, legendary sounds of Lemaitre you might find yourself doing the same when they announce their next show. Lemaitre will tour to promote their upcoming EP out in January.
Lemaitre consists of two Norwegian electronic musicians named Ketil Jansen, on guitar and keys, and Ulrik Lund on vocals. The duo started making music since 2010, when they were only 19 and have released five EPs since. Most notably, Lemaitre toured with EDM giant, Porter Robinson on his U.S. “Worlds” tour in 2014. Their next release will be titled 1749, after their Los Angeles street address number where they recorded the EP.
Hard hitting beats plus electronic glitch equals music only Lemaitre can pull off. I can’t name a single band similar to the duo because Lemaitre is Lemaitre and no one compares musically or performance wise. Do yourself a huge favor and go see Lemaitre live to experience if you want to listen to true electronic intellects at work.
