Singer Morgan Kibby, also known as White Sea, released new single yesterday called “Gangster No. 1”. The song premiered and was released through Blackbook Magazine. It is the latest release from her solo project as White Sea. Previously, she has been featured on M83’s album, Saturdays=Youth and Hurry Up We’re Dreaming.
Blackbook Magazine and many fans agree, “Gangster No. 1” is significantly slower than White Sea‘s previous more upbeat tracks like “Never A Woman” and “Stay Young, Get Stoned”.
Kibby comments on the song saying that it, “is probably my most raw. I really let it all hang out lyrically in a way that leaves me utterly exposed, but I’m proud of that. My favorite songs are those that expose a writer’s vulnerability and so I went for it with this one.”
