Fucked Up released new song “Our Own Blood.” The song, much like the band, reveals experimental tidbits of their genre and of course the extremely long songs.

“Our Own Blood” is a tap into the improvisations of Fucked Up’s music genre with the collaboration effort of musician, Tanya Tagaq, the Inuk throat singer who won an award for her Animism album. The song starts out hazy and quiet, kind of like most autumn mornings in some of the states up the Eastern Coast, but more like Florida Winters when there is constant rain. There is no explosion of sound or even a ping of musical clash, it is somber and slow and almost formal.

The band has not announced when they will release new material, but the band hosts a podcast that you can check out, Turned Out A Punk. Sadly though the song that Fucked Up released does not include singer Damian Abraham, but a previous episode from the podcast includes guest Brian Venable from Lucero.
