The 58th ceremony of the Grammy Awards are set to be held on the 16th of February and the nominees have just been released.
The nominees for the year of the 58th Grammy ceremony have finally been announced for the February 16th air date. Kendrick Lamar leading all other nominees with total of 11 nominations. The two trailing are The Weeknd and Taylor Swift with a total of 7 nominations each. A full list of nominations can be found below.
The Grammy ceremony will honor all music that has been released from October 1 and September 30. This will exclude the now dominant Adele’s new release, 25. However, leaves room for recognition to very wide range of other releases such as Mark Ronson’s featuring Bruno Mars “Uptown Funk” and Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.”
Producers that will be seeing nominations for their work are seemingly over shadowed by competing talent, Max Martin. Martin is the songwriter-producer who worked with before mentioned top nominees Swift and The Weeknd, reeling in six nominations of his own. Drake will follow closely with five nominations, on of which includes Best Rap performance for the first ever Dis Track nominated “Back to Back.”
