It’s been nine years since Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner collaborated with Miles Kane to release an album as The Last Shadow Puppets. The alternative rock supergroup unleashed The Age of Understatement in 2008 and since then, Arctic Monkeys have produced three albums and Kane also released two solo albums.
But according to Pitchfork, The Last Shadow Puppets may re-emerge with new music next year. The band revealed a minute-long video trailer depicting the artists in the studio and ending with “Spring 2016.” The tease for new music features sinister strings and what is believed to be a portion of a new song.
Arctic Monkeys, which formed in 2002, earned the Mercury Prize for its acclaimed debut album, noted as the fastest-selling debut in British music history. Throughout the years, the group won seven Brit Awards as both Best British Group and Best British Album and collected two nominations for Grammy Awards. The English indie rock band recently headlined in the Life Is Beautiful music festival and performed at the Cedar Park Center.
