Tame Impala have released the video for “The Less I Know The Better” off their latest album Currents.
The video starts off as an innocent high school fling, but turns into an odd sexual fantasy. It obviously wouldn’t be a Tame Impala video without some form of psychedelia involved in the video. There are various colors and object in kaleidoscope form jumping in the middle of the video. The video depicts the most R-rated scenes most directors wouldn’t dare to try.
The video tells the story of a high school basketball player getting his heart broken by a cheerleader that is cheating on him with the school’s mascot, named Trevor. According to Pitchfork, the video was directed by Canada.
They recently released the video for “Let It Happen” off the same album. Although the boys are currently on tour, they were recently battling a legal fight due to unpaid royalties from their old record label, Modular Records. All is well now and they have continued on their U.S. and world tour.
