The festival combines music, yoga and workshops over a period of days, making it a sort of art and lifestyle festival rather than just a music fest. The musical acts for this year’s lineup span nine different countries worldwide. Random Rab will be performing at next year’s Envision Festival for the sixth time.
For the yoga portion of the festival, there will be appearances by wellness expert David Wolfe and yoga teacher/inspirational speaker Rachel Brathen, among others. According to press for the festival, they want to encourage “creating a festival that represents the harmonious blending of many different cultures,” making it a rather unique festival.
Possibly the most varied of these sections is for workshops, which features herbalist 7 Song, architect of the New Paradigm Astrology Cooperative Kaypacha and Stephen Brooks, who co-founded Envision Festival and is known as a “resident permaculture expert.”
The other co-founder of the festival, Matt Siegel, says:
I believe that by gathering in community out in nature, we create a rare opportunity for individuals to observe their value systems and inherent human motivations from a new or alternative perspective that is free of social conditioning. At a successful event, participants capture this moment and create from it a forever lasting positive impression.
The festival is expanding to include Education Retreats as well, which occur outside the four days of the festival. The name of the first retreat is Embody, and it takes place February 19 to 24 in Uvita, Costa Rica. This would allow travelers to attend Embody then attend the festival when it ends. There are still 4-day passes available for the 2016 festival on the Envision website. For the full lineup, see the poster and see the music lineup listing below.
