Electric Dance Music has found its way back to Jamaica through the country’s first EDM festival, Paradise Lost, in March 2016. The festival will take place March 10-12, 2016 at Grizzly’s Plantation Cove in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
Big name headliners like Tiesto, Bassnectar, and Big Gigantic along with additional names like AlunaGeorge, Audien, Felix Jaehn, King Jammy, Lance Herbstrong, Natalli Rize, and Zion I. In addition, Casablanca Records will be creating a beachfront stage featuring: Caroline D‘Amore, Gazzo and Prince Fox amongst other signed Casablanca artists.
The festival’s location, Grizzly’s Plantation Cove in St. Ann, offers 135 acres of camping space. The area was chosen for its lush scenery but more importantly for its influential musical background and history. St Ann is the birthplace of Bob Marley, Marcus Garvey, Burning Spear, and Shabba Ranks and the burial place of Marley.
Paradise Lost also offers exciting Spring Break activities that includes: camping and bonfires on the beach, boat rides, fireworks display, parasailing, and Banana Boat Rides. Also, over 50 local and global vendors will contribute to “Paradise Village” where festival goers can enjoy all kinds of international cuisine. Paradise Lost is also proud to offer oppurtunities to visit Dunn‘s River Falls, as well as a tour of St. Ann that includes a visit to Nine Mile, Bob Marley‘s birthplace and resting-place.
