The video, the fourth to be released from the new album, is a hazy depiction of the band aimlessly walking through their Manchester home turf, featuring sparklers, balloons and swigs of liquor. An instantly relatable scenario for anybody; a night with a couple of friends who are bored and have nothing to do. It’s almost poetic in it’s realistic simplicity.
The dreamlike pop nature of the song pairs well with the visuals. Slow, reverb-drenched guitar lines and a simple, yet effective vocal hook helps the presentation immensely. No element of the song or video overreaches and tries to do too much, which is why it works so effortlessly.
PINS have made use of a classic indie sound, and put it to good use in this video. Stay tuned for anything the band may be up to next. As mentioned, their second LP, Wild Nights, is out now on Bella Union.
