Slayer’s Dave Lombardo, Retox’s Mike Crain And The Locust’s Justin Pearson And Gabe Serbian Form New Group Dead Cross

Former members from Slayer, Retox, and The Locust: Dave Lombardo, Mike Crain, and Justin Pearson. All three men can play drums, guitar, and bass so they could possibly just be a three person band right? Well that is exactly what they want to do. The band is formerly called Dead Cross, and its an angry punk band that still kept its edge. “It’s just straightforward brutal punk— metal-esque, but it’s definitely not metal. I think it definitely leans more towards the punk style, because I feel that the way things are in the world, a punk attitude is definitely necessary to help you along with the shit that’s going on,” said Lombardo about Dead Cross.

The band was formed by these members still have a little ways to go before they can get some music on some CDs. For the moment, the band is currently is a live band only, performing in places such as the Roxy Theatre on December 2 and the Glass House Concert Hall on December 3, both locations are in California. So far they have produced some music with Ross Robinson, who knew Lombardo and Pearson and worked with Pearson on a recent performance with Fantomas. “Ross was really excited to see our camaraderie and enthusiasm, too, and said, ‘When you guys get music together, come on in and let’s record it.’ It’s really a surprise to me how fast it all came together; it’s mind blowing,” said Lombardo about his meeting with Robinson last week.
