After 20 years, 90s pop band, Lush, reunites to perform a series of concerts in the UK in 2016. The band has confirmed a performance at the London Roundhouse for May 6th, 2016, marking their first concert since September 1996. Not only will there be the highly anticipated Lush performances, but also sources say the band has been working on a new EP due for release sometime next year.
The band has considered more than once, the idea of getting back together. Singer-guitarist, Emma Anderson, discussed in a 2012 interview, that day jobs, family life, and the lack of appealing offers prevented a reunion of the band from becoming a reality. As of now, the untitled EP consists of four tracks written by Emma Anderson and Miki Berenyi and is being produced by Daniel Hunt of Ladytron and Jim Abbiss. There is talk for a full-length record to follow.
The EP exact release date is unknown; however UK’s Manchester Academy guaranties it will be available before the tour. The album is expected to be released early April.
