The independent music Noise Pop Festival has announced the early lineup for its 2016 outing. For the twenty-fourth year of the event, notable acts include The Mountain Goats, The Cave Singers and Parquet Courts.
The festival has been a staple of the Bay Area since 1993, celebrating independent music, film and culture. Since 2006, the festival has been expanding its brand into year-round events, and music fans have taken notice. Last year, the festival sported a 20,000 person attendance, with tickets selling out a week before the event.
The shows will take place at various venues in San Francisco over a ten day period beginning on Friday, Feb. 19 and ending Sunday Feb. 28.
There are three options for tickets, each serving a distinct purpose. Early Bird badges will be sold at $145, thirty dollars less than the regular badges, granting access to all general admission concerts. Super Fan badges will be sold at $375 will include drink tickets, rideshare coupons and other amenities in addition to entrance to all events. Finally, tickets for individual shows can be purchased as well. All tickets go on sale this Friday, Nov. 20.
Noise Pop has certainly made its name in a festival saturated live music market. This year’s lineup and schedule is sure to continue that pattern.
