The Flaming Lips released a new version of their song “Psychiatric Explorations of the Fetus with Needles” today via PureVolume.
The track will be found on Disc 1 of the band’s Heady Nuggs 20 Years After Clouds Taste Metallic 1994-1997, which is set to release Nov. 27 via Warner Bros. Records.
The new version of the song is in honor of the 20th anniversary of Clouds Taste Metallic.
The song runs a long nine minutes and 35 seconds. It begins with long guitar riffs accompanied by drums, with no vocals until a little more than two minutes into the track.
Vocalist Wayne Coyne shouts his lyrics to a live crowd, and then says thank you and goodbye. The track ends with an applauding and screaming audience for a solid two and a half minutes.

The Flaming Lips will be touring this year with Miley Cyrus, who they have collaborated with in the past. The tour begins on Thursday.
The band will also be releasing a collaborative Christmas album with Yoko Ono, which is set to release Dec. 11 via Chimera Music.
