LISTEN: David Bowie Releases Extended Clip Of New Song “Blackstar”

David Bowie’s new single “Blackstar” was recently dubbed the introduction song to the European crime drama The Last Panthers earlier this year. But now the musician has released an extended clip of his new song following the pilot episode of The Last Panthers found on station Sky Atlantic.

The extended song is located in a ninety second clip of The Last Panthers. Bowie’s dark new single fits with the crime drama that would be based on the themes of guilt and personality flaws, the dark heart of Europe, and the biblical aspects of the human nature. Even though the single is not scheduled to be debuted in the musical followup to The Man Who Fell To Earth, it is a single that is dark, inciting, and even downright ethereal.

The self titled Bowie album, Blackstar, will be released next year in January, the day the actor turns 69. It will be the twenty-fifth studio album of Bowie and the full single release will be in November of this year. Lazarus, the musical for The Man Who Fell To Earth, will be premiering at New York Theatre Workshop next week in November.
