Atmosphere has released a new cut titled “This Lonely Rose”, featuring veteran rapper Blueprint and Aesop Rock. The release of the track comes just days before the veteran rap duo is set to play a series of headlining, sold-out shows in California.

The track has a distinct rhythmic edge to it in the instrumental, combined with smooth rhymes and a melodic hook in the chorus. It seems to incorporate an old-school 90s aesthetic to the sound and has the potential to be a real fan favorite in a live setting.

This release follows up on the release of another new Atmosphere track in September, “Finer Things”. These tracks are likely indirect promotion for the duo’s upcoming performance at the Rhymesayers Entertainment Group’s 20th Anniversary Concert, taking place the first week of December in Minneapolis. Other artists on the bill also include Aesop Rock and Blueprint.

Atmosphere has released ten full length studio albums over the course of their career, which dates back to 1994. Their most recent effort, Southsiders, was released in 2014.
