Godspeed You! Black Emperor have announced additional tour dates to their current run. They are supporting their latest LP ‘Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress’ released earlier this year in March.
Since their formation in 1994, the Canadian post-rock act has combined epic song structures and orchestral elements, in a droning, ambient sound that is grandiose in every sense of the word. They have released a total of six full length albums.
Additionally, the band was on hiatus following 2002’s Yanqui U.X.O. until 2010 when they performed at All Tomorrow’s Parties in the UK. Two more studio albums and extensive touring followed the return, and the band is in full swing again, delighting fans of their distinctive work everywhere.
The veteran act will start off the new shows in Europe, then take a break for the month of December, before making their way to the West Coast early next year.
