Fresh off of the heels of first cut, “Alive” from her highly-anticipated forthcoming LP, This Is Acting, Australian singer/songstress, Sia offers another taste of goods to come, with the ever-soaring: “Bird Set Free.”
Culled from a shimmering stack-of-tracks written by the preening songwriter herself, but originally intended for such crooners as: Adele and Rihanna, This Is Acting derives its name from that very same meaning aforementioned:
NEW ALBUM: “This Is Acting” out January 29th. Pre-order starts Nov 4th at midnight local time – Team Sia

Following a revealing interview taken earlier this year, Sia discloses the album’s theme:
“I’m calling it This Is Acting because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn’t go in thinking ‘this is something I would say’. It’s more like play-acting. It’s fun.”
Clearly permeating the feelings of suffocation and silence, “Bird Set Free” relays a solemn issuance of personal-struggle with such lyrical prowess:
“I had a voice but I could not sing/You had worn me down, I struggled on the ground, ” sings the diva in unveiled contention.
This Is Acting will serve as the follow-up to Sia’s imminent career game-changer, 2014’s brilliant 1000 Forms Of Fear. Initially intended to satisfy the terms of her publishing deal, the record blew-up globally, acting as a catalyst to further her career in music.
