The Philly-based trio, Mo Lowda & the Humble have been making a name for themselves both at home and on the road. And this December, the Temple crew will bring their show to the Fillmore’s Foundry stage. You can show support for a great local band on December 3rd at The Foundry.
And this upcoming show will actually be the last chance for fans to catch the guys performing under the Mo Lowda & the Humble moniker. In a statement posted to their Facebook page, they explained that they’d be trimming things down to the simpler “The Humble.” They wrote, “Mo Lowda was a half serious name for an imaginary character that we came up with 6 years ago in high school. We loved it and always will…But since then we’ve grown and matured as a band and The Humble seems like a much better fit for the music we’re creating now.”
But fans of their music shouldn’t fear because they’re still “the same 3 dudes, playing the same rock and roll.” Drawing influence from a wide range of acts, like My Morning Jacket, Pink Floyd, and Neil Young, the band has created a sound that they themselves have trouble defining by genre. But it’s a sound that has drawn attention, with the band playing several notable gigs around town. They also promise new music to come in the next few months. So stay tuned for that!
