American indie rock band Pavement joined a Pavement tribute band for a collaborative performance in Nashville last week.
The Crooked Corners, the self-proclaimed “Ultimate Pavement Experience,” recently played a show at The Stone Fox in Nashville.
To the surprise of both the band and the crowd, Steve West and Bob Nastanovich, members of the real Pavement, made an appearance both at the show and on stage with the band, according to Spin.
The two bands united together to perform a few Pavement hits together, including “Stereo,” “Range Life,” and “Conduit for Sale.” With West on drums and Nastanovich on vocals, Pavement fans in attendance truly had a surprise treat in front of them.
You can watch the collaboration on Pavement’s 1997 single, “Stereo,” below.
