Australian indietronica band Miami Horror will be performing at the El Rey Theatre on December 2. The band’s debut album Illumination was nominated for Best Dance Release at the ARIA Music Awards of 2011. Its peak position was #2 on the Australian Dance Albums Chart.
The group’s second studio album, All Possible Futures is the result of the dedicated sessions everywhere from Melbourne, Los Angeles, Paris and New York, to cumulate a glowing collection of drifting electronica-infused new-wave that marks a definite coming of age for the band.
“When I wrote the first record my musical influence was a quarter of what it is now. Illumination was written mostly between the ages of 21 to 23 and it came out when I was 24, so this record reflects a big difference in terms of maturity.”
The band will definitely be evolving their sound while retaining the elements who made them who they are. Be sure to catch Miami Horror at the El Rey Theatre in December!
