Halsey Announces Madison Square Garden Show For The 2016 Time Warner Cable Concert Series

Halsey has announced that she will be headlining a show at Madison Square Garden for the 2016 Time Warner Cable concert series. This will be the 21 year old singer/songwriter’s first time appearing on the MSG stage, and it’s set to be quite a performance. The New Jersey native was the most talked about person on Twitter following her performance at SXSW festival earlier this year, so it’s safe to say she knows how to put on a good show.

2015 has been a huge year for Halsey, as she released her debut album, Badlandsand was the supporting act for Imagine Dragons’ Smoke and Mirrors Tour. She has since moved on to headline her own tour, and has also been nominated for MTV’s European Music Awards “Artist On The Rise”  award. Halsey’s performance at MSG will conclude her currently running Badlands tour on August 13th, 2016. The singer/songwriter’s rapid rise to fame seems a bit unprecedented, and it appears that even she is still in shock. Recently she tweeted:

Just got an insane call. Presale for the Badlands Grande Finale at MADISON SQUARE GARDEN is COMPLETELY sold out in 24 HOURS. You guys….

Madison Square Garden can hold 18,200 people at max capacity, so we can understand why this all might seem surreal for Halsey. She kicked off the American leg of the tour in San Diego back in September, and will continue on internationally starting at the end of December. Following the international leg, Halsey will return to the states for her first ever arena show at MSG to conclude the tour. General sale for the grande finale opened this morning at 10 AM, and fans can pick up tickets here.
