WATCH: Big Grams And Run The Jewels Perform “Born To Shine”

Pulling together for a stage-set chalk-full of superstar-infuzed mania, Big Grams and Run The Jewels ignite firing-frenzy with a riveting live-performance of “Born to Shine” at San Francisco’s very own: Treasure Island Music Festival last weekend.

Based-upon soul-shattering new material from their self-titled debut-effort, Big Grams, the collaborative stunts of former Outkast MC, Big Boi and Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter of the electronic power-rock duo, Phantogram literally move mountains when enlisting the aid of fellow talents Killer Mike and El-P(a.k.a. Run The Jewels).

The power-quintet seemingly breezes through their collaborative-exposition: “Born to Shine” in a fan-filmed piece that features LED-screens blazing digitized firework displays amidst a jolting-framework of strobe-lights clearly designed to summon epileptic-seizure tendencies.  Phantogram’s Sarah Barthel holds the rest of the boys in-check as they spout their endless barrage of wordsmith chants under her breathy-melodies.

Bouncing on the heels of their most recent lead-singles from their new EP, “Goldmine Junkie” and “Lights On,” Big Grams run the gamut as far as genre-slashing new territory on the horizon.  Sparking new lines of success, the supergroup seeks to shop their freshly-acquired sound on the road throughout the following year; bringing a consummate-new approach to audiences all-over.
