Now, what do you get with a 3-Day GA Pass?
Well, in addition to entrance to the three days of fantastic music, the passes also include parking and tent camping. One campsite is provided for each vehicle, and while each site can hold a maximum of eight people, a press release recommends placing only four to six people per site for optimal comfort.
Fans that are seeking to make the most out of their weekend should check out the festival’s selection of VIP options. These include the “Eternal Sunshine” VIP Experience, a variety of Tent and RV Rental options, the ‘Eternal Sunshine’ VIP Boutique Camping Experience, or a Super VIP Luxury Tour Bus. All of these VIP packages are customized to give each fan an unforgettable experience. Detailed information is available on the official Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival website.
As the festival is bound to attract attendees from near and far, along with a number of people that may be celebrating their college’s spring break, there will be shuttle services and long-range bus trips available from select locations throughout the Southeastern United States. Specifically, there will be round trip service to Okeechobee from New Orleans, Louisiana; Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia; Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina; and the Florida cities of Jacksonville, Gainesville, Tallahassee, Pensacola, Daytona Beach, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa.
Festival organizers are encouraging attendees to choose a method of transportation that is sustainable and environmentally friendly. As such, there will be daily shuttles to the festival site from locations near the airports of West Palm Beach and Orlando. The West Palm Beach Shuttle will have connections to Florida’s Tri-rail system, which runs as far as Miami, to connect South Florida’s biggest cities and major airports.
“We want to present a more intimate experience in our first year so we are limiting the capacity to about half the size of other major American festivals,” Soundslinger Founder & Chief Creative Officer Paul Peck said in a press release. “We have an incredibly special property and the opportunity to do something really special here, and we want to make sure we do it right.”
UPDATE (1/20/16): Okeechobee has just announced it’s inclusion of Jungle 51, an “under-the-stars electronic music stage guaranteed to provide the ultimate in sensory overload.” It will feature it’s own lineup of house and techno artists, and will be set apart from the main stages.
UPDATE (1/25/16): Running as a counterpoint to Jungle 51, the Aquachobee stage will host dawn to dusk performances from electronic artists, bands and DJ’s, on the beach. Festival goers are free to swim, hit the bar, and relax and listen to these performances all throughout the day on this stage.
