Soul band The Internet released a new music video for their song, “Get Away,” which is taken from the album, Ego Death. Previously, the band had released a video for “Girl,” which is also from the same album.
“Get Away” was shot in the band’s hometown of Los Angeles, California, and tries to encapsulate a “hyper-real version of The Internet bandmates offline,” according to a press release.
The video opens with scenes from a house party that are captioned as being located “somewhere in the hills.” After shots of people sitting and mingling over alcohol, there is a scene change, and viewers find themselves watching lead vocalist Syd tha Kyd singing in a room with an Om tapestry on the wall.
Next, viewers find themselves watching Syd talking to another young woman – who is revealed to be her ex-girlfriend – in her car. And, the following shot expands on this out of doors setting, as the band is shown jamming on “Get Away” in a parking lot with several graffiti covered buildings serving as the backdrop for this performance.
