BOOTS’ debut album AQUARIA is highly anticipated for this November, but now we’ve got one incredible video to go along with one of their released tracks “Bombs Away”.
Noted as definitely being an interesting artist, BOOTS isn’t really defined by many standards of musical classification. Instead, taking elements from different styles to almost make a creepy aesthetic of electronica. His usage of rhythm and synths add to the cool vibes of this track, paired with some unique melodies in the chorus.
It’s not a track that sounds the same throughout its duration: it’s something unique and eclectic at every timestamp. “Bombs Away” almost seems like exactly what you’d not expect, and throws everything that shouldn’t mesh well together in an incredibly complementary song.
BOOTS is currently on their fall 2015 tour across the United States. You can check out the dates and locations here.
The video reflects “Bombs Away”‘s creativity as well, with dark shots with the occasional spot of colour that really surprises you at all the right times. It’s very interesting, to use such a blanket term. But it’s almost like one of those modern art pieces you see and you don’t understand at first but you can’t tear your eyes away from it. It’s definitely worth checking out, as you won’t be disappointed from the unique drawing of so many styles to create such a dark video.
