Beach Slang & Tim Kasher w/ Field Mouse @ First Unitarian Church 12/19

Philly punk band Beach Slang are headed out on a short co-headlining tour with Tim Kasher. They’re also bringing along Philly/Brooklyn band, Field Mouse. The short stint will take place this December, and visit New York and Philly, with our stop taking place at the First Unitarian Church on December 19th.

In addition to their co-headlining dates, Beach Slang will be performing steadily from now until late February. They’re currently on tour with Philly band, Lithuania. They’ll open for Taking Back Sunday at their annual NJ holiday show. And then, come January, the band will be on their way to Europe for a lengthy overseas tour. The band is set to release their debut album, The Things We Do to Find People Who Feel Like Us at the end of the month. The album drops on October 30th via Polyvinyl. They’ve released two tracks so far, which you can stream below.

Also joining the bill is Tim Kasher, who in addition to his burgeoning solo career is also the frontman to rock band Cursive. He released his first solo album, The Game of Monogamy, in October of 2010 via Saddle Creek Records. His new release, Adult Film, is due out today and “favors less ornate, equally impactful instrumentation, in contrast to The Game of Monogamy‘s heavily orchestral album which was “filled with theatrical arrangements.” Head to the FU Church on 12/19 to catch Beach Slang, Tim Kasher, and openers Field Mouse.
