David Bowie has recently worked on the music for a six part drama series on television in works with CANAL+ and Sky Atlantic. Now Bowie’s single from The Last Panthers, a European crime drama. “Blackstar,” is David’s newest single to be used for a crime drama series.
David Bowie may have had some films careers like the Goblin King in Labyrinth, The Man Who Fell To Earth, a Zoolander cameo appearance, and some parts on the BBC series The Hunger. But this new single is not like any of his works when he was known to be a glam sensation. The singer may be multi-talented, but his many traits are often his ability to produce and compose music himself than with an array of people as a single band.
“Blackstar” sounds off like any action movie with religious references like The Boondock Saints, though not as religiously as some of the American action movies that involve politics and religion. The pinnacle point of the song is when it the lyrics go on about the flaws in the system, whether politics or religion, that really get someone attuned with the way that the series might pan out. So if you want to get on your Netflix account, stream online from Hulu or even other websites hat offer full episodes of The Last Panthers, make sure you also have a Pumpkin Spice Latte in hand when you are engaging in full dramatized detail.
