Fresh off her appearance as musical guest AND host on the 41st season premiere episode of SNL, Miley Cyrus is hitting the road for a limited six-date club tour of the US, which thankfully will make a stop in Philadelphia this December. Join Miley and her Dead Petz (aka The Flaming Lips) for what is sure to be an insane show at The Electric Factory on December 5th.
It makes sense that Cyrus would make her way back to Philadelphia. The city, is after, said to be responsible for the Miley we all know today. She was here back in 2013, while then-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth filmed a movie. She told Rolling Stone that it was her nights on Philly’s South Street that really brought out a different side of her, saying, “I was away from people for a minute, and I just started feeling my own vibe. I bought a pair of Doc Martens. I shaved my head. Driving a f*cking Ford Explorer around. Just blending in.”
The young performer has already had a busy year. In addition to hosting SNL this past weekend, she also hosted the MTV VMAs, where she found herself involved in a Nicki Minaj feud. She also dropped Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz that same night, available to stream for free. And the album has been met with rave reviews from critics and celebs alike. You can take a journey along Miley’s drug-induced haze this December when she is joined by The Flaming Lips at Philly’s Electric Factory. Tickets are of course, $69, because why not?
