Many people know TIDAL as the music streaming platform that works via subscription. The artist owned company is marking a milestone event of surpassing one million subscribers to their web service. According to Consequence of Sound, the celebration was decided by some of the company’s principal owners to hold a massive charity concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, set for October 20th.
TIDAL has been in the headlines recently with some of their legal issues, including the dispute with Apple Music in regards to Drake’s material being streamed. Along with that, TIDAL’s CEO Andy Chen left back in April of this year.
Both TIDAL subscribers and non subscribers will have access to the video streaming of the concert, however TIDAL subscribers get first grabs for tickets for the real thing.
Equity stakeholders include some of the stellar headliners for Tidal X: 1020 Charity Concert, such as Beyonce, Jay Z, Nicki Minaj and Prince. All of which are putting out stellar material at the time, however this concert is sure to be incredible with this lineup of showstoppers.
