Soulfly, Soilwork, and Shattered Sun Live at The Fonda Theater in Hollywood, California

Soulfly played a packed and sweaty show at The Fonda Theater on Hollywood Blvd Wednesday night. Opening for the band was Swedish melodic-death metal visionaries Soilwork and a fresh new metal band from Texas, Shattered Sun.

Shattered Sun played songs from their latest album Hope Within Hatred; the album’s first single and title track reached #35 on the US Mainstream Rock charts.

Soulfly slaughtered the audience! Soulfly showed how ruthless they can be with songs off their latest album Archangel. Just when you think the crowd couldn’t take more, they played songs from their Sepultura past driving the crowd wild with “Refuse/Resist”.

Mauricio Alvarado: I've been a concert photographer for the past 5 years. My work has been featured on various music magazines and websites. Some of the bands I've photographed are Yes, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Rob Zombie, Santana, and many more. I'm obsessed with 70's Progressive Rock music. I enjoy photographing bands that I grew up listening to. I'm also a big vinyl record collector since I was in High School. I always enjoy taking my albums to shows and getting them signed by the bands.
