Vince Staples is having one hell of a year, and there seems to be no sign of slowing down for the young MC. He’s currently out touring with some hip hop heavyweights, A$AP Rocky, Tyler the Creator, and Danny Brown, but now the Long Beach native will be adding some headlining shows of his own to the mix. And thankfully, he’ll be headed our way for a show at Union Transfer on December 2nd.
Vince Staples was named as one of XXL Magazine’s 2015 Freshman Class. He dropped his debut studio album, Summertime ’06, in June of this year, and has been riding high off of the success of that release. The Circa ’06 Tour will kick off right here in Philadelphia and headed across Canada and the US before finishing up in San Diego on December 19th.
Staples released his debut EP Hell Can Wait, back in October of last year. It was his collaborations with Odd Future (especially Earl Sweatshirt) and Pittsburgh’s Mac Miller, that brought Vince Staples to the forefront. His short opening set on the recent A$AP/Tyler show hasn’t been enough to quell fan’s thirst for the rapper, so his Union Transfer show will be an excellent opportunity to see him truly shine in his element. Grab your tickets now and head to UT this December.
