Lana Del Rey released her music video for her single “Music To Watch Boys To,” from her album Honeymoon. The single is reminiscent of the seventies look throughout the video. The new video is about everything to do with the dream vacation for single and couples alike than it does with water dancing, men in swim trunks, and even those moments where you can get lost on vacation. Other singles from the new album include “Terrance Loves You,” “High By The Beach,” and “Honeymoon.”
The single from the new album is that of the so called American Dream. In the album cover she is wearing a cowboy hat driving the classic Mustang. But this video is like a dreamy beachy situation where she lays back near the pool or the ocean and watches the boys just walk on by. The video encompasses women dancing and swirling underwater together, Del Rey wearing glitter on her face, and the every sultry look she gives to the camera and its pans around the remainder of the song. But while there are men within the video, she doesn’t even bat an eye to their existence. Lana is there on her so-called honeymoon for herself and just as a way to get away and de-stress from her working life.
Honeymoon is out this year and Lana’s single “Salvatore” has more to say about the impressions of relaxation than men and gramophones.
