After a lumbering five-year hiatus, U.K. indie hip-popper’s: The Go! Team bounce-back into familiar form to trek the stronger points of the United States with their latest, The Scene Between. Featuring frontman, Ian Parton and the rest of the 5-piece original cast of noisemakers, The Go! Team seek to bring down the house with their eclectic mish/mash of hip-hop and guitar-riff crunch-madness.
Culling-together the finer-elements of garage-rock with blaxploitation and Bollywood soundtracks, these ladies-and-gents of Brighton, England origin will jumpstart their most recent leg of the tour in Japan during October and hop-scotch their way over to Europe to finish out their year of creative-resurgence. The U.S. will see The Go! Team take 2016 by the reigns as they launch their attack first in Chicago on January 16th at a venue that is still to be announced. From there, the U.K. sextuplet plans to embark a one-week streak through the United States on a non-stop frenzy, hitting: L.A.’s Roxy, New York’s Brooklyn Bowl, and Philly’s Underground Arts until topping-it-all-off on January 24th at Washington, DC’s very own: Black Cat.
The band has witnessed its significant measure of success this year, issuing the follow-up to 2011’s Rolling Blackouts with the supreme, The Scene Between, courtesy of Memphis Industries. The record features: the opening cut: “What D’You Say,” album-title track: “The Scene Between,” and a formidable closer: “Reason Left To Destroy” to flesh out a well-rounded juxtaposition of playground muse.
