Kendrick Lamar Announces He Will Perform with the National Symphony Orchestra

Rapper Kendrick Lamar has announced he will perform a show with accompaniment from the National Symphony Orchestra, according to Consequence of Sound.

The performance will take place on Oct. 20 at Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center and will feature Lamar performing various tracks from his newest album, To Pimp a Butterfly.

His latest release includes the album’s third hit single, “King Kunta,” which also has its own video. Behind the scenes footage from the video can be viewed here.

Lamar’s upcoming performance follows a full lineup of appearances from this past year, including Pemberton Music Festival, Osheaga Festival, Bonnaroo, and most recently, Life is Beautiful.

Tickets go on sale on the Kennedy Center website on Wednesday at 10 a.m. EST. Pre-sale tickets will be available for members of the Kennedy Center.
