Gifted recording-artists: Beck, Cat Power, Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, Jakob Dylan and Jade(formerly of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros) are huddling-together for special one-time-only concert and album affair for the ages.  The unprecedented show and record seeks to honor the 50th anniversary of Southern California’s legendary folk-rock scene, aptly titled: Echo in the Canyon.

Slated to be appropriately held at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on October 12th, Echo in the Canyon will feature covers of songs originally written and recorded by iconic bands from the 1960’s: The Beach Boys, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, The Mamas & The Papas, The Association, and Love.

While tickets for the Echo in the Canyon concert-event will be made available to the general-public this Friday, October 2nd, the forthcoming collaborative LP featuring the aforementioned talents is scheduled for release sometime in the early-realm of 2016.

If in the mood to wet your appetite, featuring an updated version of the soothing sounds-of-the-60’s, The Wallflower’s own: Jakob Dylan and sultry singer/songwriter: Cat Power tease the madding-crowd with their rejuvenated rendition of the Turtles’ classic, “You Showed Me.”  The Byrds’ Gene Clark and Jim McGuinn originally penned the entrancing cut.
