Guillermo Scott Herren, or Prefuse 73 as one of his many aliases, has released a video for his track “Still Pretending”.
Prefuse 73’s unique abilities to include so many styles in one track has listeners peeling back layers and layers of tracks to discover all the talent he has hidden in there. It’s a really incredible method of creating music, and this video for “Still Pretending” almost has an inception feel with psychedelic colours.
Between seeing the entire rainbow flash before your eyes and watching the incredibly detailed illustrated landscapes move towards you seemingly endless, you’ll find the video for Prefuse 73’s “Still Pretending” is really unique from both an artistic perspective and as a visual for the wonderful track. Wired explains that the inspiration for the video for “Still Pretending” wasn’t a Dutch artist. It actually comes from the Chinatown neighborhood in New York where Prefuse 73 lives.
