The BBC shared a trailer for a new documentary about the secretive electronic music duo, Daft Punk.
The documentary, Daft Punk Unchained, is a film that was written and directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre, and produced by Jean-Lois Blot and Patrice Gellé. Initially, the film aired on France’s French-language channel Canal+, but it is now being translated and will see a worldwide release in English, via the BBC, according to SPIN.
In 1 minute 45 seconds, the official trailer draws fans in by teasing a series of behind-the-scenes shots, interviews with other contemporary musicians that praise the seminal electronic duo, and archival footage of Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo wearing their customary masks. Some of the artists that are interviewed in the film include Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, and Paul Williams, according to SPIN.
Daft Punk Unchained will see a worldwide release in 2015, but an exact release date has not been announced at the time of this article’s publication. Like DaftPunkUnchained on Facebook, or follow @daftpunkunchnd on Twitter and take a look at the #daftpunkunchained for more information.
