Oneohtrix Point Never has premiered melodies from his upcoming album, Garden of Delete, in the format of MIDI files.
MIDI Files, a type of audio file that provides people with a visual aspect of the note progressions, often gives producers easy remixing capabilities.
The files were released on the website for Kaoss Edge, the fictional band that supposedly inspired Garden of Delete. The collection comprises melodies from the album with which his fans have been creating new songs.
Daniel Lopatin, the face behind OPN, asks his fans to continue submitting songs to create an archive full of the fan-made tracks. Fans can submit the tracks to ezralien666@gmail.com.
Garden of Delete is set to release on Nov. 13 via Warp Records.
For more OPN, be sure to catch him live on his upcoming fall tour in Europe and North America.
