Ellie Goulding released the new video from her latest single “On My Mind” today on Vevo. The song comes from Goulding’s third studio album, Delirium, available November 6th.
The video takes place in Las Vegas with the theme of the video tastefully following along. Directed by Emil Nava, who she has worked with before for “I Need Your Love”, it tells a tale of a revenge story. The video has a retro vibe, ranging from cotton candy skies to blue hues, correlating directly with Goulding’s lover mistreating her. The blinding lights fade away into the Vegas lifestyle when her partner-in-crime goes after the guy. As for the stunts that take place throughout the video, Goulding admits to doing her own. She also comments on Sin City being a “weird place”, continuing to talk about Nava, “He’s a friend of mine and we wanted to do something really mad. We wanted to ride some horses, and there’s a gangster who is a not very good guy. It’s kind of got a Thelma & Louise thing about it.”
“On My Mind” is the first release from her new album that is set to be released on November 6th. The video is a must watch, along with the album. If this is the first taste we get off the new album then I would be prepared to see more of Goulding’s glowing skin in more videos.
