Rusted Root is a band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania known for their unique sound of acoustic, rock, and other various styles of music. Lyrically, the group often includes Christian and Jewish references. Listeners can look forward to hearing worldly percussion from African, Latin, and Native American influences. “I am very inspired vocally by anything from Indian to African to Middle Eastern sounds and scales having grown up with a lot of Hebrew music” reflects member Liz Berlin.
In twenty-five years of making music together, Rusted Root has released over eight studio albums. Their latest, The Movement, is one of the band’s greatest pieces to date. “It’s going from the industrial age to the individual spiritual age. I feel everyone should devote all their actions to all that is love, healing and pragmatic,” frontman Michael Glabicki says on the record. The album is said to be a tribute to fans in building a community to share the love for music.
The work of Rusted Root is described as bringing audiences through an emotional terrain. Their experimental music approach gives fans an exciting new taste in what they’ve produced. The band will begin their long awaited nationwide tour this fall.
