Ryn Weaver w/ HOLYCHILD & ASTR @ The Foundry 11/22

This fall, the place to be in Philly is going to be The Fillmore. More specifically, their smaller stage, The Foundry. On November 22nd, you can catch not one, but three great acts in the way of headliner Ryn Weaver, with support from HOLYCHILD and ASTR.

This June, California singer/songwriter Ryn Weaver released her debut LP, The Fool. Since then, the talented artist has been making quite a name for herself as she played some of the biggest festivals of the season. And this fall, she has an exciting tour lined up, which she has dubbed the Misfit Toys Tour. Both of the openers feature exciting female fronted acts, and the musician seems to be making a point with having added them to her lineup. She says, “I really wanted to bring some bad ass babes on the road with me (+ boys).”

Our Philly show, which will go down at the brand new Fillmore Philly, will be one of the closing dates of the tour. You’ll absolutely want to get to the venue early to make sure you catch both of Ryn Weaver’s opening acts. First up is ASTR, the NYC-based electronic duo. They released one of SPIN‘s Top 20 Pop Albums of 2014. Take a listen to their cover of Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” which is a fan favorite. HOLYCHILD, come to us by way of Los Angeles, fronted by Liz Nistico. They call their music “brat pop” and released their debut full-length this past June via Glassnote. You may recognize their track “Running Behind,” which was featured in an Apple Watch commercial. Grab your tickets now and check out all of these female fronted acts this November at The Foundry!
