This week, Tanlines announced that they will be doing a short American tour in the fall.
Everything begins on November 28th, 2015, at The Crocodile in Seattle, Washington. Then, the following day, the band has a show in Portland, Oregon, before they launch a series of three California shows. The California dates will take the band down the coast, as they’re set to play in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. At those three dates, Tanlines will be supported by the Los Angeles duo, lo Echo. And, after those shows in California, Tanlines has one more date in Phoenix, Arizona, on December 5th, to wrap up their concerts in the Western United States.
Then, Tanlines heads East.
On December 9th, the band will play a concert at Webster Hall in New York City, which is the duo’s hometown. Tanlines – the electronic music and indie rock duo of guitarist and vocalist Eric Emm and multi-instrumentalist Jesse Cohen – got their start in Brooklyn, New York.
This tour finds Tanlines supporting their newest release, Highlights, which is the band’s first collection of new material since their debut album, Mixed Emotions. Tanlines teamed up with Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear to produce Highlights. And, most recently, the duo released a music video for “Palace.”
“Palace” stars the band, Orange Is The New Black’s Natasha Lyonne, and Alex Karpovsky of the HBO series Girls. Additionally, Karpovsky is the co-director for “Palace,” along with Teddy Blanks. Check it out, here.
