Philly’s own Good Old War are headed back to Union Transfer for a performance this winter. The guys are fresh off their recent free performance at the final Radio 104.5 Block Party of the summer, where they played an energetic opening set. And already we have news of their upcoming return to the Philly stage. And fans of the band will be able to catch them on December 18th at UT. The boys are currently out on tour, traveling around the US and Canada. For much of their scheduled dates, they’ll be supporting Kodaline.
The band released their fourth full-length album in June of this year. The album features the single, “Tell Me What You Want From Me,” that Philly music fans have probably heard on their morning commutes. The song was the first track released from Broken Into Better Shape. The video for which can be seen here.
Through collaborating with a number of different writers and musicians, Good Old War created with Broken Into Better Shape an album of “lush, well-crafted songs with no filler.” They took nearly 40 songs, and selected 10 of the best tracks. And now, they’re out touring for the first time in three years. If you missed them at the block party, this is definitely a show you will want to attend. Catch Philly’s Good Old War this winter at UT. Tickets for this show go on sale on Friday, September 18th at noon.
