It seems that Givers are finally ready to release a follow-up to their 2011 debut album, In Light. The band released a teaser video with some new music with the words “Coming this Fall” via their Facebook page. In addition, they’ve also announced an accompanying fall tour that will see the Louisiana rockers head to Philly on November 20th. You can catch them at Boot & Saddle with Doe Paoro. Their upcoming Boot & Saddle show marks the first appearance of the band in our city since a stop in 2012. In the indie pop band have toured with Ra Ra Riot and have performed at big festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza. They are probably best known for their infectious track, “Up Up Up,” which was the first single from In Light.
Now, their sophomore effort is set to be released later this year. The highly-anticipated LP is being dubbed New Kingdom and fans of the band can check out heir first single, “Bermuda” here. If you like what you hear, which you most certainly will, you’ll want to grab tickets for their Boot & Saddle show because it’s a tiny venue and this one will sell fast!
