Nashville-natives Frances & The Foundation have just released “What We’ve Lost,” the second single off of their new EP, Phases, scheduled for a September 18th release.
“What We’ve Lost” focuses on the personal experiences of lead singer Samantha Francis, her struggles with drug abuse and its effects on her life. Her message highlights the importance of making a choice and holding onto what’s important in life in spite of past mistakes. Frances confronts the subject with powerful, determined vocals while Nathaniel Zumwalt and Wes Cramer provide their own passion on guitar and drums respectively. It’s a thumping, heartfelt, uplifting track that gives even more energy the band’s upcoming EP.
Frances & The Foundation have already released the first single off of Phases, “Plant The Seed,” last August. It’s an equally powerful track that goes together nicely with this new release.
