After a visit with his doctor, Lemmy Kilmister is set to finish U.S. Tour with Motorhead.
Motorhead fans can rest easy knowing that they will be banging their heads to their favorite lead singer once again. Lemmy Kilmister is a metal icon and despite his age and, let’s just say it, surviving the 80s he has rarely let anything slow him down. Unfortunately, this year he was faced with something that even he couldn’t ignore, an infection in his lungs. On August 27th Lemmy started to experience trouble breathing and had to leave mid show in Utah. The band then agreed to cancel the following show in Denver Colorado. On September 1st Lemmy was feeling well enough to play a show in Texas but ended up having to leave in the middle of it again telling the crowd, “I can’t do it.” Soon after two additional shows had to be canceled, all of this according to Loudwire.

While the doctors have cleared Lemmy to continue his tour and the band seems to be in good spirits about the issue, the age and lifestyle are two very daunting factors to think about. Not to mention his other health conditions that he has had in the past with his heart.
Motorhead is Lemmy’s family and the trust that they have in the decision to get back to the tour is something fans will have to hold on to. We also have to remember who exactly it is we are talking about here. Lemmy Kilmister is one of the most bad ass names in metal and he didn’t get to where he is today by laying in a sick bed!
